Director of Admissions
The Director of Admissions is a senior leader responsible for advancing Medforth Global Education’s enrollment goals through strategic admissions leadership, strong team performance, and an exceptional applicant experience. Reporting to the Executive Director of Admissions, the Director leads the St. George’s University School of Medicine Admissions team and drives admissions performance and enrollment outcomes throughout the admissions funnel.
The Director provides strategic and operational leadership across the admissions function, using data, technology, and industry best practices to strengthen conversion, reduce student melt, optimize team performance, and support sustainable enrollment growth. The role establishes clear performance expectations, develops and coaches leaders and staff, identifies opportunities for improvement, and ensures resources and strategies are aligned with enrollment priorities.
As a key cross-functional partner, the Director works closely with Recruitment, Marketing, Financial Aid, the Registrar, Scholarships, Student Services, Operations, Information Technology, and other stakeholders to improve the applicant journey, remove barriers to enrollment, and execute initiatives that advance Medforth Global Education’s broader enrollment objectives. The Director fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and exceptional service while effectively leading teams through evolving priorities and organizational change.
Essential Functions
Enrollment Strategy & Performance
- Develop, execute, and continuously refine data-informed admissions strategies to optimize funnel performance, strengthen conversion and yield, reduce student melt, and achieve enrollment objectives.

Analyze enrollment data, market trends, and key performance metrics to identify opportunities, inform decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.

Identify emerging enrollment trends, opportunities, and risks and recommend strategies to support short- and long-term enrollment goals.

Partner with institutional leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to advance strategic enrollment initiatives and organizational priorities.
Student Experience & Engagement

Ensure applicants and accepted students receive timely, accurate, and personalized guidance throughout the admissions process, fostering confidence and informed decision-making.

Promote a high-touch, relationship-driven admissions experience through proactive communication, responsiveness, and exceptional student service.

Develop and support student engagement initiatives that strengthen commitment, improve matriculation outcomes, and enhance the overall applicant experience.

Ensure the admissions team provides accurate, consistent, and comprehensive information regarding program offerings, admissions requirements, financial considerations, and student support services.
Leadership & Team Development

Lead a high-performing admissions team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, innovation, and exceptional student service.

Establish and monitor individual and team performance expectations, enrollment goals, and key performance indicators to drive results and accountability.

Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to support professional development and build leadership capabilities across the admissions team.

Ensure appropriate staffing, workload distribution, and operational coverage to support enrollment objectives and deliver a consistent applicant experience.
Operational Excellence

Oversee the daily operations of the Admissions Office, ensuring adherence to institutional policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and service standards.

Evaluate admissions workflows, processes, service levels, and operational performance to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, consistency, and continuous improvement.

Leverage CRM systems, reporting tools, technology, and automation to enhance operational performance, support data-informed decision-making, reduce manual processes, and improve the applicant experience.

Lead and support the implementation of process and technology enhancements, ensuring changes are effectively adopted and aligned with admissions and enrollment priorities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships, fostering open communication, shared accountability, and alignment in support of enrollment objectives and a seamless applicant experience.

Partner with Recruitment, Financial Aid, the Registrar, Student Services, Marketing, Operations, Scholarships, Information Technology, and other stakeholders to remove barriers and improve organizational effectiveness.

Lead and contribute to cross-functional initiatives that enhance enrollment processes, strengthen collaboration, and support institutional priorities.

Represent Admissions as a strategic partner across Medforth Global Education, bringing forward enrollment insights, operational needs, and opportunities for improvement.

Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and student information systems (Banner preferred).

Ability to work collaboratively across teams and regions, with flexibility to adjust strategies based on market needs.

Strong organizational skills; able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.

6–8 years of progressive experience in higher education admissions, recruitment, enrollment management.

At least 3 years of experience leading and developing admissions or enrollment teams, with progressively increasing leadership responsibility.

Experience working within U.S. admissions markets required; exposure to Canadian admissions markets is an asset.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Professional, collaborative office environment with frequent use of computers, phones, and online communication platforms, including Zoom and Salesforce.

Ability to work across multiple time zones and adjust schedules as needed to support applicants, team members, and organizational priorities.
Hours & Travel
-
Standard work week: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. EST.

This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with two days working remotely and three days working onsite in Great River, NY.

Flexibility is required during peak admissions cycles, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Travel may be required for recruitment events, orientations, institutional initiatives, or regional team support.
The anticipated salary range for the Director of Admissions, US is $115,000 to $125,000 per year. The final salary offered may vary and will be determined based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, location, and education of the successful candidate. This information is provided in accordance with New York State and applicable local law.
