Position Overview
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) serves as the strategic business partner to the Chief Platform Officer (CPO), helping drive organizational effectiveness, platform adoption, stakeholder engagement, and execution across the Platform organization.
This role acts as the connective tissue between business leadership, infrastructure, operations, product, and technology teams, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into measurable outcomes. The CAO will lead business management, governance, communications, operating rhythm, organizational planning, and client engagement initiatives for the Platform organization.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen, relationship management, operational excellence, and executive leadership skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizations and influence senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Management

Partner closely with the Chief Platform Officer to define and execute strategic priorities.

Drive the annual planning process, including objectives, key results, investment priorities, and resource allocation.

Manage the Platform organization's operating model and governance framework.

Develop executive-level reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics.

Identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness and scalability.
Client & Business Engagement

Establish and oversee a client engagement model that strengthens relationships between Platform teams and business stakeholders.

Act as a senior liaison between business functions, operations teams, and infrastructure leadership.

Ensure business priorities, service expectations, and platform capabilities remain aligned.

Facilitate executive discussions regarding platform strategy, service adoption, and business outcomes.
-
Champion a service-oriented culture focused on stakeholder satisfaction and business enablement.
Operating Committee & Governance
-
Lead governance forums, steering committees, and executive reviews.

Coordinate cross-functional decision-making across business, operations, technology, risk, and vendor organizations.

Drive issue identification, escalation management, and resolution processes.

Establish clear accountability and transparent decision frameworks.
Organizational Effectiveness
-
Manage staffing strategy, workforce planning, organizational design, and location strategy.

Partner with Finance and Human Capital Management on budgeting, headcount planning, and talent initiatives.

Lead internal communications, employee engagement programs, and leadership offsites.

Drive change management and adoption initiatives associated with transformation programs.
Portfolio & Execution Management
-
Provide oversight of strategic initiatives across the Platform organization.

Monitor execution against milestones, budgets, and strategic objectives.

Ensure alignment between platform investments and business priorities.
-
Develop reporting and communication materials for senior executive stakeholders.
External & Industry Engagement
-
Monitor industry trends and emerging practices in platform management, infrastructure services, client engagement, and operating models.

Support vendor and strategic partner relationships.

Represent the Platform organization in selected internal and external forums.
Qualifications
Required Experience
-
12+ years of experience in business management, strategy, operations, consulting, platform management, or related leadership roles.

Experience supporting senior executives in complex, matrixed organizations.
-
Demonstrated success partnering across business, operations, product, and technology functions.
-
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
-
Experience leading enterprise-scale initiatives and organizational transformation efforts.
Preferred Experience
-
Financial services, asset management, banking, or fintech experience.
-
Experience supporting platform, infrastructure, operations, or enterprise services organizations.
-
Knowledge of governance, risk management, and service management frameworks.
-
Experience managing executive communications and board-level presentations.

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $200,000-$250,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement, life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
