Position Overview
At Autodesk, we help our customers design and make anything. The Experience Foundations team plays a critical role in creating the systems, standards, and experiences that make that mission possible, particularly as AI-powered capabilities transform how customers work across increasingly connected products and workflows.
We are seeking a Content Operations and Tooling Lead for Autodesk Assistant. This role will define and operationalize the content ecosystem that powers Autodesk Assistant and related AI experiences. As content, knowledge, and guidance are created and managed by teams across Autodesk, this person will establish the governance, tooling, workflows, and operating models needed to ensure experiences remain cohesive, discoverable, trusted, and scalable across products, industries, and customer journeys.
The role combines deep operational expertise, systems thinking, and strong content judgment to bring structure, visibility, and accountability to a rapidly growing content ecosystem. While this is not primarily a content creation role, it is critical that this person understands content design principles and has experience creating evaluation frameworks that define, measure, and continuously improve content quality across product guidance, conversational experiences, instructional content, and AI-generated interactions.
They will bring order to an ecosystem spanning product help, knowledge sources, conversational experiences, learning content, terminology, and emerging AI-powered experiences. Working closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Research, Data Science, Design Systems, Localization, Accessibility, Marketing, Brand, and Legal, they will build the governance models, contribution frameworks, content infrastructure, and operational practices needed to scale innovation without compromising consistency, accessibility, localization, or customer trust.
Responsibilities
-
Define and operationalize the content model for Autodesk Assistant, agentic experiences, knowledge systems, product guidance, and learning experiences
-
Establish governance and contribution models, including RACIs that clarify ownership, roles, decision rights, and accountability across teams that create and manage content and knowledge
-
Design and improve end-to-end workflows for content creation, review, localization, publishing, measurement, maintenance, and retirement
-
Develop and evolve tooling that supports content operations, content design, governance, evaluation, and AI-assisted workflows
-
Create visibility across the content ecosystem, identifying dependencies, gaps, duplication, and opportunities to improve how content moves through systems and teams
-
Create evaluation frameworks, quality models, and measurement approaches for authored and AI-generated content
-
Clarify responsibilities and coordinate work across a highly matrixed organization, bringing together the right stakeholders to make decisions and move work forward
-
Partner across disciplines to ensure content, knowledge, systems, and agent behavior work together to create cohesive customer experiences
-
Inform roadmap and platform decisions by identifying the content infrastructure, tooling, governance, and operational capabilities needed to scale AI-powered experiences
Minimum Qualifications
-
10–12+ years of experience in operations, program management, content operations, design operations, knowledge management, or a related operational discipline within complex digital-product environments
-
Proven experience in operations, including content operations, and driving initiatives across large-scale, multi-product ecosystems
-
Demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence across complex, cross-functional content programs, improving execution quality, streamlining workflows, and managing dependencies across teams, systems, and delivery pipelines
-
Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and individual contributors on complex initiatives, including driving alignment, mitigating risks, anticipating and solving problems, and establishing clear ownership and accountability across stakeholders
-
Strong understanding of content design principles and the ability to recognize and assess quality across product guidance, conversational experiences, instructional content, and AI-generated interactions
-
Experience developing or evolving tooling that supports content creation, management, governance, evaluation, publishing, measurement, or maintenance
-
Demonstrated ability to build scalable and measurable content frameworks, quality models, and standards that support consistency across teams and products
-
Strong understanding of how language, knowledge, interaction logic, and product behavior work together to shape trust, usability, and customer outcomes
-
Familiarity with AI tools, agentic systems, retrieval-based experiences, and the opportunities and considerations involved in creating and operating AI-native products
-
Experience partnering with Product, Design, Engineering, Research, Marketing, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to influence product, platform, or operational direction
-
Ability to balance strategic thinking with executional rigor, translating complex and ambiguous problems into clear systems, workflows, decisions, and measurable outcomes
-
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with demonstrated ability to build alignment and drive outcomes through influence in fast-moving environments
-
Demonstrated experience using AI to improve personal workflows, increase efficiency, and apply AI-driven solutions to content creation and production processes
-
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Information Science, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience building or modernizing content-management, knowledge-management, content-delivery, or content-evaluation ecosystems
-
Experience with structured content, taxonomies, metadata, knowledge graphs, retrieval systems, terminology management, or reusable content models
-
Experience with workflow automation, AI-assisted content operations, agentic workflows, or automated content-quality evaluation
-
Experience supporting conversational or generative AI products where quality depends on the interaction between content, knowledge sources, retrieval, and model behavior
-
Experience establishing governance and contribution models within distributed or federated organizations
-
Experience operationalizing accessibility and localization across content systems and workflows
