Full job description

Description

Amazon Demand Tech products helps marketers, sellers, and app developers promote their products across mobile, connected TV (CTV), and the open internet at scale. You will own the targeting strategy for our Display, Video, and Audio ad buying system, deciding which audiences an advertiser reaches and why, and you will do it as artificial intelligence (AI) reshapes how shoppers discover and buy. You will lead product and business strategy alongside a team of product managers, engineers, and applied scientists to deliver measurable results for advertisers of all sizes.

Our systems process billions of bid requests daily, combining many shopping and app signal sources to decide whether to show a given ad to a given person at a given moment. Targeting sits at the center of that decision. As shoppers increasingly rely on AI assistants and chat agents to research and transact, the signals that describe intent are noisy and changing quickly. Your job is to build targeting products that interpret this evolving behavior and help advertisers reach the right audiences, including the agent-driven experiences that are becoming part of everyday shopping.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define and drive the multi-year strategy for targeting products across the Display, Video, and Audio ad buying system.

  • Lead the design, build, and launch of targeting capabilities that use AI and agent-based signals to match advertiser demand to audience intent.

  • Partner with advertisers, agencies, publishers, measurement providers, and data providers to improve the quality and reach of our targeting products.

  • Lead product ideation, building, and launches across a team of product managers, engineers, and applied scientists working toward a shared customer objective.

  • Author a three-year plan to grow the targeting business and execute against it.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience

  • 8+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience technical product management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or above in engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related quantitative field

  • Experience in e-commerce or online advertising

  • Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization

  • Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions, evaluate outcomes, and make data-driven decisions

  • Experience prioritizing and delivering projects on time in a fast-moving environment

  • Experience designing and launching new products from the ground up

  • Proven track record of complex and creative problem-solving, and the desire to create and build new businesses

  • Passion for building technology that delivers outstanding customer experiences
