Philadelphia Insurance Companies is expanding our Compliance team with Nationwide consideration for an Underwriting Audit Specialist.
Summary:
Responsible for performing property and casualty policy audits to ensure policies are in compliance with state regulations and in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
A typical day will include the following:

Conduct audits on new and renewal property and casualty policies for a wide variety of our niche products as well as ad-hoc big data analytics.

Assessment includes the quality of risk selection, adherence to established underwriting guidelines and procedures, rating accuracy, data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Compilation and distribution of audit results as well as review with Underwriting management.

Data analysis to identify causal factors and to develop action plans for the corresponding business unit.

Collaborate with Underwriting management in the implementation of recommendations including development of new or revisions to existing guidelines and/or processes, technological enhancements and training.

Develop training programs including preparation of training materials and conducting training.
Qualifications:
-
At least 3+ years’ underwriting experience with a commercial insurance carrier.

Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience

Knowledge and understanding of state laws and regulations regarding insurance

Ability to gather and interpret information to develop, recommend and implement solutions.

Detail oriented with excellent organizational and planning skills

Ability to work independently and with a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
National Range: $70,000.00 - $78,000.00
Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.

We offer a hybrid work model that provides flexibility to work remotely while maintaining meaningful in-office collaboration with your team.
Remote consideration will be given to qualified candidates located outside of the primary geographic region.
