Salary Range: $255,840.00 To $265,012.80 Annually

Family Practice Physician

Location: Eglin Air Force Base, Florida

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., minimum of 9 working hours per day with a 1-hour unpaid lunch

PPDG is seeking qualified Family Practice Physicians to provide comprehensive medical care to patients at Eglin Air Force Base. The physician will evaluate and treat emergent, urgent, and non-emergent patients ranging from newborns to adults over age 65. Responsibilities include scheduled appointments, walk-in care, telephone consultations, preoperative consultations, preventive care, and coordination with specialty providers.

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada

  • Completion of an approved internship and residency program

  • Current certification in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications

  • At least 24 months of Family Medicine experience within the last 36 months

  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Family Practice Physician

  • At least one year of supervised direct clinical experience following completion of the medical degree, such as an internship or the first year of residency

Job Duties:

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat patients within the physician’s approved scope of practice and clinical privileges

  • Prescribe appropriate courses of treatment

  • Provide preventive and health-maintenance services, including annual physical examinations, education, and counseling

  • Order diagnostic testing and coordinate consultations or referrals

  • Consult with specialty physicians to support continuity of care

  • Provide instruction or assistance to other healthcare professionals

  • Participate in staff meetings, case discussions, continuing education, and quality-improvement activities

  • Maintain an assigned patient panel of approximately 1,250 patients

  • Meet the standard of approximately 100 appointments per week, including 80 face-to-face and 20 virtual appointments

  • Conduct a minimum of 10 routine peer reviews per month

  • Complete an average of 15 Periodic Health Assessments per month

  • Complete an average of 5 Medical Evaluation Boards per month

  • Complete an average of 10 deployment clearances per month

Monday-Friday 6:30am-5:30pm for a minimum of 9 hours per day. 1hr. unpaid lunch
