The role of Account Coordinator (Strategic Communications and Public Affairs) will support client service across our growing U.S. and international client base. At Red Flag, Account Coordinators are responsible for supporting communications plans, monitoring news and policy developments, analyzing and researching client issues, and supporting account servicing teams in other ways, as assigned.

This is a full-time position based in our office in Washington, DC, with arrangements for hybrid working.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and implementation of communications and public affairs strategies on behalf of major clients in a range of sectors.

  • Monitor and analyze media, social media, and policy developments, as assigned, and draft timely reports for clients.

  • Draft and deliver high-quality written products for internal and external purposes, including briefing papers, talking points, press releases, social media content, and presentations.

  • Support business development, including through supporting development of proposal materials.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates must be highly-motivated, proactive, eager to learn, and open to working in a fast-paced environment on a wide range of issues.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Prior work or internship experience in public relations and/or public affairs

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to create error-free materials such as press releases, briefing memos, talking points, social media content, etc.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to make positive contributions to successful teams

  • Proven ability to deliver in detailed and time-sensitive projects
