Full job description

OVERVIEW:

The Guest Services Manager is responsible for the marketing, booking, coordination, and retention of guest groups at Camp Redwood Glen. The position serves as the primary point of contact for guest groups and coordinates with camp departments to ensure that groups receive welcoming, well-organized, and consistent experience from booking through departure and follow-up.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to guest inquiries and manage bookings and records in CampBrain or other software

  • Prepare Facilities Use Agreements, billing documents, and guest group paperwork; submit FUAs through TSAMM

  • Maintain the guest group calendar and communicate group needs to camp departments

  • Coordinate guest group logistics, including attendance, meals, programming, facilities, staffing, and services

  • Meet with group leaders and address guest needs and concerns

  • Coordinate facility readiness and group transitions with camp departments

  • Create and post staff schedules and support staff training, evaluation, and retention

  • Supervise Guest Service Team Members and provide direction as needed

  • Support marketing efforts to attract new groups and retain existing business

  • Collect and review guest feedback and share recommendations with camp leadership

  • Assist with updating guest service documents, procedures, and rental materials

  • Recommend Guest Services budget and equipment needs

  • Coordinate summer registration check-in and check-out and resolve paperwork issues

  • Other related duties as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in camp administration, leadership or related (3 years required)

  • Valid driver’s license (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred)

  • Knowledge and experience of ACA standards (preferred)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to to work effectively and compassionately with others

  • Self-motivated, dependable, detail-oriented and ability to multi-task

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Proficieny with Microsoft programs and computer software

  • Knowledge of Salvation Army practices and organization

EQUIPMENT USED:

  • Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (usually file boxes)
