Full job description

Essel Skilled Trades is a skilled trades company focused on helping deliver complex project work in the field. We are seeking a crew leader to support data center construction projects, bringing strong coordination, accountability, and execution to active jobsites where quality, safety, and schedule matter every day.

This is an opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership role where your experience can directly influence how work gets done. As a Data Center Technician Foreman, you will guide technicians in the field, keep installation work moving, and serve as a key point of coordination between crews, project leadership, and subcontractor partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily crew activities on active data center construction sites.

  • Oversee installation tasks while ensuring quality, safety, and schedule compliance.

  • Assign work, monitor progress, and troubleshoot field issues for technicians.

  • Communicate with project managers and subcontractors to keep work on track.

  • Maintain site documentation, materials readiness, and adherence to job specifications.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience leading crews on commercial or industrial construction projects.

  • Experience with data center builds, structured cabling, or critical infrastructure environments.

  • Ability to read construction drawings and manage field execution with minimal supervision.

  • Strong working knowledge of jobsite safety practices, quality standards, and schedule coordination.

  • Proven ability to resolve field issues during construction execution and coordinate effectively with subcontractors.

  • OSHA 10 certification and Scissors Lift certification.

  • Fluency in English and eligibility to work in the United States.

  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
