Work hours: 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Job Duties:
Worker will be performing duties related to SOC 45-2093 Livestock worker, job duties will include but not be limited to: Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, loading animals, deliver feed and hay. Maintain records on animals; Receive, process, and sort cattle; Break ice in stock tanks; Move snow and ice so that cattle have access to water and feed. Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Assist in birth deliveries; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; operate equipment such as tractors with loaders, skid steers, vertical mixers, hay grinders, etc. to prepare and distribute feed to cattle. Operate and monitor grain conditioning equipment to ensure efficient and safe conditioning of grain to meet quality and livestock feed standards Guide products to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased or rotten products. Monitor and report grain moisture and grades. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning conditioning equipment, storage areas, and surrounding facilities. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team. Load semi-trucks with hopper bottom trailers and maintain load documents. Operate fans and other equipment to condition grain and control moisture levels. Segregate animals according to weight, age, color, and physical condition. Clean stalls, pens, and equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps. Scrape and pile manure as needed.; Inspect, maintain, prepare, and repair livestock working equipment, machinery, sheds, corrals, etc., yards and fences including temporary hot wire, faucets, and other feeding/watering equipment; Provide mineral and supplements to cattle.
Minimum Education Required
None. No High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum Experience Required
Twelve (12) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed.
Must speak and understand English.
Must be able to obtain appropriate driver's license (Class D) following hire and obtain clean driving record.
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
Job will require exposure to extreme temperatures.
Extensive pushing and pulling is required.
Extensive walking or sitting is required.
Frequent stooping or bending over is required.
Repetitive movements are required.

Additional Compensation
Employer may, at the company’s sole discretion, pay workers at a rate above the minimum required and/or provide additional compensation such as bonuses, fixed salaries, PTO, insurance, incentive pay, or other benefits to any worker employed under this job order based on lawful, non-discriminatory factors including skill, performance, tenure with the employer, licensing, training, punctuality, or prior related experience.
As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

Job Benefits
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
