Lake Huron Medical Center is a 139-bed community hospital that provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient health care services to residents of St. Clair and Sanilac counties including emergency services, primary stroke center, cancer care, surgical services, physical therapy and rehabilitation services, pulmonary rehabilitation, and specialized diabetes programs.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner focuses on providing general care to patients of all ages, with utmost patience, care, compassion and understanding.� Perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, assisting physicians and enhancing public awareness on the importance of health, and prescribing medications.�

Position Highlights:

• See patients 18 and older who meet Medicaid requirements and reside in St. Clair County

• Provide wellness checkups, non-emergency chronic illness care, lab and radiology testing, specialist referrals

• Work with services such as CMH, specialists, patient guardians, adult foster care staff

• See a high volume of patients with limited transportation, under/unemployment, mental health diagnosis, and substance use

Compensation/Benefits:

• Part-Time- 17 hours/week

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• MSN with specialization as an ARNP.

• Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse.

• BLS upon hire and maintain current.

• One to two years of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred.

• Previous experience with electronic health record.
