Job Description

Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) powers the industries of today and tomorrow by connecting the people with big ideas to the manufacturers who can bring them to life. Xometry's digital marketplace gives manufacturers the critical resources they need to grow their business while also making it easy for buyers at Fortune 1000 companies to tap into global manufacturing capacity.

The Senior Solutions Engineer, Injection Molding is a trusted advisor to prospects and customers, pairing technical depth with business acumen to propose solutions to real manufacturing problems. Working in tandem with the Sales team, you'll be the technical voice in the room - anticipating objections, building confidence in Xometry's capabilities, and helping customers get to the right manufacturing solution faster.

How You'll Contribute:

Lead discovery conversations with Sales to uncover business and technical requirements and map them to Xometry solutions

Be the technical liaison between molding teams and the customer.

Consult directly with prospects and customers to identify the right applications of Xometry's technology and build the business case

Demonstrate Xometry's capabilities, including our software quoting platform, in a way that resonates with both engineers and executives

Partner with product, sales, quoting, and engineering teams - feeding customer insight back into the business and contributing to case studies and marketing collateral

Represent Xometry as an industry thought leader at events, webinars, and in the injection molding community

Serve as the internal go-to expert on injection molding and related processes, helping the broader team speak credibly to customers about tooling, mold design, and process capability

Provide project management and oversight on complex opportunities

What You Bring To Xometry:

A genuine manufacturing and process background in injection molding, compression molding, overmolding, and insert molding - with hands-on, floor-level experience strongly preferred

An outgoing, personable communicator who's equally comfortable in a deep technical discussion with a mold designer and presenting to a room of executives

Technical empathy: the instinct to listen first, understand a customer's real problem (not just their stated request), and translate between technical and business language without losing either audience

Consultative by nature - always asking "why" before proposing "what"

Experience preparing and presenting technical solutions within business proposals

Self-motivated and comfortable managing multiple long-term projects with minimal oversight in a fast-paced startup environment

Strong interpersonal skills and a natural relationship-builder

Engineering degree (Mechanical or Plastics preferred) or related technical degree

5-7+ years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical field

Demonstrated project management and presentation skills

CAD and technical drawing experience

Demonstrated Expertise in some of the following areas: New Product Development, Materials Science, Plastics Engineering, GD&T, Mold Design, ISO Certifications, PPAP & Inspection

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including mastery of English

Willingness to travel up to 20%
