We are seeking a motivatedSAP BTP Developer (m/f/d) to join our Business Applications team.

Please note: depending on the location of the candidate, we are open to filling this position on our locations in Italy (Riese Pio XorPadua) or Slovenia (Grosuplje) or Romania (Brasov).

Your Tasks & Responsibilities

In this role, you will design, develop, integrate, optimize, and support cloud-native applications and extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). You will work closely with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, architects, integration experts, external partners, and international project teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable SAP BTP solutions, including SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, CAP-based services, integrations, workflows, APIs, and extensions for SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform using SAP CAP, SAP Fiori/UI5, Node.js, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and related technologies.

• Build and enhance SAP Fiori applications, launchpad content, user interfaces, reusable components, and UX patterns aligned with SAP standards and business requirements.

• Develop, expose, consume, and manage APIs, OData services, REST services, events, and integration scenarios between SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP services, and non-SAP applications.

• Implement integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite, Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh, and related connectivity services.

• Translate business and technical requirements into solution designs, technical specifications, application architecture, data models, and development tasks.

• Configure and use SAP BTP services such as SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Build Process Automation, SAP Build Work Zone, SAP Identity Authentication Service, Destination service, Connectivity service, and XSUAA.

• Apply security, authentication, authorization, role management, compliance, and governance concepts for enterprise-grade SAP BTP applications.

• Support SAP S/4HANA extension, migration, rollout, integration, and optimization activities with a focus on clean core principles and side-by-side extensibility.

• Coordinate and execute unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing for SAP BTP applications, APIs, integrations, workflows, and extensions.

• Prepare technical documentation, development guidelines, deployment instructions, handover documents, and key-user enablement materials.

• Analyze and resolve incidents, defects, performance issues, and integration problems in cooperation with business users, developers, architects, and technical teams.

• Ensure compliance with company governance, SAP development standards, internal controls, security policies, and regulatory requirements.

Your Profile

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

• Approximately 5 years of professional experience in an SAP BTP, SAP Cloud, SAP Fiori/UI5, SAP Integration, or comparable SAP development role.

• Solid hands-on experience with SAP BTP application development, extension scenarios, cloud-native architectures, SAP S/4HANA integration, and related implementation, rollout, migration, support, or process optimization projects.

• Practical experience with SAP CAP, SAP Fiori/UI5, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Java, OData, REST APIs, Git, CI/CD, and modern development tools.

• Good understanding of SAP BTP services, including SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Integration Suite, API Management, Event Mesh, Destination service, Connectivity service, XSUAA, and SAP Identity Authentication Service.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA extension projects, clean core, side-by-side extensibility, workflow automation, API integration, and enterprise integration processes is preferred.

• Experience in regulated industries, international and cross-functional environments, and relevant SAP or cloud development certifications are an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong development knowledge of SAP BTP, SAP CAP, SAP Fiori/UI5, cloud application programming, service design, data modelling, and extension patterns.

• Good understanding of SAP Integration Suite, API-led integration, event-driven architectures, OData, REST, authentication, authorization, and secure connectivity.

• Ability to analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable SAP BTP applications, integrations, workflows, and extension solutions.

• Hands-on coding and debugging capability across JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Java, SAPUI5, and related development frameworks.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including incident, defect, performance, and integration issue resolution.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with business users, SAP functional consultants, developers, architects, and technical teams.

• Collaborative team player with a proactive, service-oriented, hands-on, and results-focused mindset.

• Fluent English required, Italian is optional, German and additional European language skills are an advantage.
