Position Overview
As a member of the Project Management Team it is your responsibility for reporting to management all issues related to the projects quality performance on a regular basis. Quality performance is defined as quality program implementation, inherence to procedures and policy, nonconformances, rework, customer concerns or complaints and corrective actions. Lead and manage the quality effort to include quality assurance and control activities and personnel. Act as liaison to customers, vendors and subcontractors in regards to quality.
District Overview
TIC Power (TICP) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a non-union craft force. TIC Power builds major EPC and bid-build power plant, solar field, wind farm and nuclear/DOE projects throughout North America. All of Kiewit Power is committed to Kiewit’s “Nobody Gets Hurt” Philosophy.
Location
Although we are based in Lenexa, KS, our Power districts have projects that span across the entire US. Our projects may be built in large cities, small towns, or very remote locations, so our people must be willing to go where the work is. Job assignment location will be determined closer to your start date. Candidate must be open to traveling and relocating as business requires.
Responsibilities

Promote and maintain effective communications and relations (verbally and in writing) with district management, project management teams and engineers/clients as required.

Examine and inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered; take corrective action as needed.

Identify potential safety hazards and take all necessary corrective actions to eliminate or minimize them.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Kiewit/TIC Quality Management System and procedures and promote standardization.

Manage Welding Procedure Specification log and files for assigned districts..

Assist in conducting project quality audits and reports.

Qualifications

At least four years’ engineering or science degree or technical college degree plus two years’ experience in related construction field

Must be legally authorized to work without requiring sponsorship for employment to begin or continue employment with our company

Must be able to clearly communicate the status of quality on a project.

Excellent communication and technical writing skills, ability to research and work with detailed/technical matters and convey/explain the information to field personnel

Ability to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint software programs as well as able to quickly learn other software applications

Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks with deadlines and potentially frequent interruptions

Base Compensation: $77,000/yr - $86,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
