  • Conduct site visits, pre-bid reviews, and client meetings to validate assumptions, improve estimate accuracy, and support successful project execution.

  • Support project turnover, change order pricing, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance estimating performance and project profitability.

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of transmission line construction estimating experience, with experience supporting high-voltage transmission projects ranging from 69kV to 500kV+.

  • Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid or Bid2Win (B2W Estimate) and advanced Microsoft Excel and / or SmartSheetskills.

  • Strong understanding of transmission construction means and methods, including foundations, structure erection, conductor stringing, OPGW installation, access construction, and labor productivity analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop quantity takeoffs from plan and profile drawings, structure lists, specifications, and utility standards.

  • Experience developing labor-driven estimates for lump-sum, unit-price, and time and equipment contracts.

  • Ability to evaluate constructability, identify project risks and scope gaps, and develop execution-focused estimating strategies.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across operations, project management, and executive leadership teams.

  • Experience supporting investor-owned utilities, electric cooperatives, municipalities, EPC projects, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), storm restoration, or emergency response programs is preferred.

  • Field experience in utility construction (e.g., lineman, foreman, superintendent, field engineer, or project engineer) is highly valued.

  • Experience with project controls, scheduling, and construction management tools such as HCSS HeavyJob, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms is a plus.
