MVCC is seeking to fill two full-time, ten-monthInstructorpositions in our School of Health Sciences to teach in a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited Associate degree dental hygiene program. The position(s) include a commitment to a teaching assignment in the Summer of 2027.

Full-time faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines. Teaching responsibilities include lecture, lab, and clinical assignments on the Rome campus. Courses may be taught in a traditional classroom and online formats. Other specific assignments will be made based on the individual's academic qualifications and program needs. In addition to teaching, full-time instructors participate in program assessment, curriculum development, student advisement, facilitating student experiences, recruiting for the program and serve on various School and College Committees.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field or currently enrolled in a Master's degree program

• Current New York Dental Hygiene license and Dental Hygiene Anesthesia certification

• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a multicultural environment

• Flexibility in schedule and a willingness to work and contribute collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching experience

• Educational methodology courses or continuing education

Additional Information:

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis. VISA sponsorship is not available for this position.
