BEHAVIORAL HEALTH RESOURCE SPECIALIST

Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital, Rhinelander, WI

Full-Time or .9 FTE, 72 hours every pay period

8- weekday day shifts

Behavioral Health Resource Specialist performs a wide variety of responsibilities that can range from performing office tasks to interacting with patients. This can include organizing documents, ordering and scoring psychological testing materials, answering phones, scheduling appointments, assisting with referrals, running EPIC reports and preparing for patients’ Behavioral Health Clinic visits.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Knowledge of office procedures is normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Completion of an associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

  • Two years of health care experience preferred.

  • Ability to meet, collaborate and work efficiently with others.

  • Strong patient advocacy skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high degree of professionalism

  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type patient information.

  • Ability to file and maintain patient records, files, and other correspondence.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with patients, employees, and the community.

  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, under pressure, with time constraints.
