Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Correctional Officer and become a vital part of maintaining safety, security, and order within correctional facilities. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to enforce laws, uphold safety regulations, and support rehabilitation efforts. As a Correctional Officer, you will be responsible for supervising inmates, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and providing in-person customer service to visitors and staff. Your leadership and attention to detail will help create a secure environment for all.
Duties

Monitor inmate activity and enforce facility rules to maintain order and safety.

Conduct thorough background checks on new inmates and visitors to ensure security compliance.

Write detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and security breaches using clear and professional report writing skills.

Report data accurately through official logs and data reporting systems to support facility operations.

Perform security checks including pat-downs, searches, and surveillance to prevent contraband entry or escapes.

Respond swiftly to emergencies with CPR certification and follow safety regulations to protect all individuals on-site.

Handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining strict adherence to security protocols.
Qualifications

Proven experience or knowledge in law enforcement or criminal law is highly desirable.

Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear, detailed reports and documentation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for report writing and data reporting tasks.
