Job Title: Mechanical Engineer PE I
Location: Vestavia Hills, AL
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00
Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote
Overview
The Mechanical Engineer PE I applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies.
Responsibilities

Sign and seal engineering documents.
-
Analyze, develop, and evaluate systems.
-
Improve and maintain current systems or create new projects.
-
Design and draft blueprints, visit systems in the field, and manage projects.
-
Apply engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.

Perform work under general supervision.

Handle complex issues and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Professional Engineer License (PE)
-
4-6 years of experience
-
Possesses working knowledge of the subject matter

Technical expertise

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment

Travel requirement: 5-10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location

Physical/Work Environment Requirements: ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles; climbing stairs; moving self in various positions; working in tight and confined spaces; repeating motions; operating machinery and power tools; outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and wind; noisy environment; light to heavy work including moving objects from 20-100 pounds
