Team Summary

An SAP Vistex Lead bridges business operations and IT technical architecture. They lead the design, execution, configuration, and continuous optimization of Vistex modules embedded within SAP ECC or S/4HANA environments.

Job Summary

The SAP Vistex Lead drives end-to-end implementations, enhancements, and operational management of SAP Vistex solutions. They translate business strategies around pricing, incentives, chargebacks, and rebates into scalable SAP technical architecture while managing project deliverables, cross-functional integrations, and team workflows.

Essential Duties

  • Solution Architecture & Technical Delivery• Vistex Configuration: Lead hands-on configuration of Vistex Incentive & Payables (IP) modules—including Chargebacks, Billbacks, Sales Rebates, Purchasing Rebates, Royalties, and Vendor Agreements.• System Design: Design IP document types, pricing agreements, calculation buckets, condition types, status flows, and accrual/settlement profiles.• S/4HANA & ECC Integration: Oversee integration between Vistex and core SAP modules like Sales & Distribution (SD/OTC), Materials Management (MM/P2P), and Financial Accounting (FI/CO).

  • Leadership & Project Governance• Team Oversight: Lead teams of onshore/offshore functional analysts, developers, and system integrators through full-lifecycle deployments.• Requirements Gathering: Partner with key business stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Procurement) to capture and document functional specification requirements.• Quality Assurance: Direct integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect triage, and cutover activities for production releases.

  • Support & Continuous Improvement• Perform root-cause analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting on custom Vistex developments, interfaces, or standard logic failures.• Ensure system integrity meets internal audit, SOX compliance, and month-end close reporting guidelines.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related discipline. required

  • 10 + years of hands-on SAP functional experience, with a primary focus on SAP Vistex.

  • Deep expertise in IP (Incentive & Payables), Chargebacks, Rebates, Claims, Agreements, and Data Maintenance Pricing (DMP).

  • Strong working knowledge of Order-to-Cash (OTC), SD pricing, MM, Master Data (BP/Customer/Vendor), and FI/CO settlement workflows.

  • Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA (e.g., V4 release) and traditional SAP ECC.

  • Experience managing initiatives using Agile/Scrum or Waterfall project methodologies.

Qualifications Preferred

  • ABAP debugging capabilities to pinpoint issues within standard or custom enhancement points.

  • Domain expertise in industries with high-volume rebate/chargeback structures (e.g., Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Packaged Goods, Manufacturing, High-Tech, Wholesale Distribution).

  • SAP Vistex certification.

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Salary Range: $144,000-$198,000
