Onsite/Remote: Remote Position
This position is eligible for remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
Your Responsibilities
As a Product Consultant specializing in Large Earthmoving Products for John Deere Construction & Forestry , you will support customers and dealers throughout the United States. In this remote position, candidates should reside near Moline, IL; Austin, TX; Houston, TX; or within a one hour drive of a major airport in Texas or Louisiana .
This is a high impact, field-focused role responsible for accelerating sales by providing product, application, and customer value expertise. You will work directly with dealer sales teams, Territory Sales Managers (TSMs), and customers to help identify needs, support active sales pursuits, and clearly communicate the value John Deere solutions bring to jobsite operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on jobsites, understands production demands, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. In this role you will:

Drive large earthmoving equipment sales by partnering with dealer sales teams and TSMs to deliver deep product expertise, spotlight competitive differentiation, and translate real-world application insights into compelling customer value.

Engage customers on their jobsites to understand production requirements, uncover operational challenges, and recommend the John Deere equipment and solutions that deliver the greatest customer value.

Support customer demonstrations, dealer events, and field engagements that prove John Deere’s value in real-world applications, accelerate purchase decisions, and build lasting customer confidence.

Deliver advanced sales training for John Deere field personnel and John Deere dealers equipping them to serve as trusted advisors who understand customer needs, recommend the right solutions, communicate differentiated value, and accelerate sales growth.

Influence future products and services by translating customer needs, jobsite challenges, and application insights into actionable input for lifecycle, design, and manufacturing teams.

What Skills You Need

Strong knowledge of construction equipment applications, jobsite production requirements, and the factors that influence equipment selection and customer value

Hands-on equipment operating experience with the ability to assess application fit in real-world jobsite conditions

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage directly with customers, dealers, and TSMs
-
A sales-minded, customer-focused approach, with experience qualifying opportunities and positioning differentiated solutions
-
Available to travel up to 75% within the contiguous United States

Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent relevant work experience
