Position Summary: The Maintenance Planner and Records Specialist supports aircraft availability and operational readiness by coordinating maintenance schedules, work packages, and resources while maintaining accurate, complete, and current aircraft records. This role supports Dynamic Aviation’s Texas Screwworm Eradication (TSE) base, maintains maintenance tracking data and technical publications, and provides digital reports for operational and leadership use.
Key Responsibilities

Develops and maintains short- and long-term maintenance forecasts and quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily schedules for assigned aircraft, engines, and components

Reviews aircraft status, inspection intervals, component life limits, modifications, and applicable maintenance program requirements to identify and schedule upcoming work

Creates, schedules, and distributes ERP work packages, task cards, technical references, and supporting documents for inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, modifications, and overhauls

Coordinates aircraft downtime, labor, parts, tooling, consumables and technical data with maintenance leadership, operations, supply logistics, and engineering

Monitors maintenance progress and adjusts schedules for operational priorities, aircraft condition, resource availability, and emerging requirements; escalate scheduling conflicts, material shortages, and incomplete technical data

Maintains aircraft logbooks and active and inactive historical records; receives, organizes, reviews, files, updates, and transfers documentation in accordance with applicable requirements and company procedures

Prepares and processes logbook documentation, reviews records and completed work packages for accuracy and completeness, and coordinates missing information or corrections with authorized personnel

Maintains aircraft configuration records and reconciles documented component installations, removals, part numbers, and serial numbers with source records and ERP data

Tracks airworthiness directive and service bulletin requirements, due dates, and documented accomplishment status; incorporates upcoming requirements into maintenance plans

Researches life-limited component histories, establishes recorded hours and cycles from supporting documentation, and maintains accurate component and aircraft utilization data in the ERP system

Develops recurring and ad hoc reports and dashboards covering aircraft status, maintenance forecasts, upcoming and overdue items, and records metrics. Validates and reconciles data to maintain traceability to source documentation

Ensures that all maintenance documentation is supplied to maintenance control and the aircraft records department within 24 hours of maintenance performed and all signed logbook entries shall be mailed to corporate headquarters within 48 hours

Provides planning and historical maintenance information to leadership and operational teams, identifies discrepancies and trends, and coordinates resolution with responsible personnel

Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum of three years of relevant experience in aircraft maintenance planning, aircraft records, maintenance control, or a related aviation role
-
Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs, inspection intervals, component life limits, maintenance documentation, and applicable FAA requirements
-
Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, technical publications, engineering orders, and service bulletins and translate requirements into maintenance schedules and records
-
Experience reviewing aircraft records, reconciling source documentation, and maintaining accurate maintenance tracking data
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and the ability to use ERP, maintenance tracking, and company information systems
-
Strong planning, organization, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail and the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
-
Ability to manage changing priorities, work effectively across departments, and recognize and escalate records or scheduling discrepancies
Preferred Qualifications
-
FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate or a technical or vocational degree in aviation maintenance or a related field
-
Experience supporting aircraft operated or maintained under Parts 91, 135, or 145
-
Experience with King Air aircraft
-
Experience with Pentagon or comparable aviation maintenance tracking and ERP systems
-
Familiarity with Power BI, SharePoint, or similar digital reporting tools
-
Experience with maintenance forecasting, integrated scheduling, technical publications management, and records process improvement
Additional Requirements

Minimal travel, less than 10%

Passport or work authorization requirements to work in the US
Working Conditions
-
Hybrid work environment; Monday through Friday, typically 7 a.m.–4 p.m. or 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with flexibility based on business needs
-
Primarily office work, with occasional work in aircraft hangars and exposure to aircraft noise, weather, and normal aviation maintenance hazards
-
Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating office equipment
-
Ability to view computer screens for extended periods, with close vision and the ability to adjust focus
-
Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching within the office environment and on aircraft
-
Ability to lift and move items up to approximately 10–20 pounds (e.g., files, office supplies)
-
Effective verbal and written communication abilities
-
Ability to maintain focus and perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail
Pay Band: $29.00- $34. Starting pay is determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity, and typically falls between the minimum and midpoint of the pay range.
