College Graduate – Rotational Engineering Program (REP) - start date July 2027 in Andover, MA
Mercury Systems is seeking a recent college graduate to join our Rotational Engineering Program, a dynamic opportunity to develop cutting–edge technology that supports the American Warfighter. As a Software System Test REP Engineer, you'll join a collaborative Software Test Automation team focused on automating the software and firmware tests for mission-critical aerospace and defense applications. This role offers hands-on experience with hardware, firmware and software products and a holistic view of the system.

Job Responsibilities:
-
Assist in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts
-
Perform functional, regression, and performance testing on hardware and firmware/software/systems
-
Document test results, defects, and anomalies in tracking systems
-
Support automation testing efforts and script development
-
Leverage AI tools to accelerate test case development and automation
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, development, and qualification
-
Analyze test data and prepare reports on findings
-
Maintain and calibrate test equipment as needed
-
Support continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field obtained between May 2026 and June 2027
-
A minimum GPA of 3.1. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
-
Prior Co-Op or internship experience
-
Coursework or project experience in software testing methodologies
-
Familiarity with programming languages (Python, C#, Bash, Java, or similar languages)
-
Experience with AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, OpenCode, VScode, or similar)
-
Foundational understanding of electronics, embedded systems, and boardlevel hardware
-
Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and engineering requirements
-
Experience using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with test automation and scripting

Knowledge of version control systems and software collaboration tools such as GitLab, BitBucket, Jenkins, Docker

Understanding of product development lifecycles

Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators)

Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
-
Previous internship or co-op experience in engineering
-
Exposure to data analysis or data logging using Excel, SQL, or similar
-
Experience presenting technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders
