Your role is crucial in ensuring that all SE-BVT castings meet stringent quality and metallurgical standards, while also achieving key performance objectives related to cost, lead-time, and quality. You will be responsible for establishing, standardizing, and implementing best practices across all product lines, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, you will design area-specific processes that enhance manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness. Your leadership will be instrumental in developing personnel and driving the team towards excellence in production outcomes. Join us in shaping the future of our manufacturing processes and delivering top-tier products.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Establish and ensure ongoing conformance to process best practices across major manufacturing processes, including Wax, Shell, Cast, Rough, and Finish.

  • Direct Process Owners responsible for the areas of Wax, Shell, Cast, Rough, and Finish, focusing on the development of robust product quality and process capability improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with Critical to Quality (CTQ) checks in each area and develop robust corrective actions to address root causes of product-related scrap and rework drivers.

  • Continuously drive cost reductions for products and processes while creating and nurturing professional relationships both internally and externally.

  • Develop and maintain an effective personnel development program for direct reports, actively supporting all plant values and principles.

  • Organize activities to address key scrap drivers through the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodology and support Operations and Engineering Management in talent development.

  • Synthesize process metric trends and part-specific quality issue insights to target the purchase of new or upgraded equipment, while partnering with Operations, Purchasing, Facilities, and Finance to develop the financial case for capital acquisitions.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in the investment casting industry, specifically in manufacturing turbine blades and vanes.

  • 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience within an engineering group.

  • Proven track record of process improvements and delivering projects on time.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, customer specifications, and technical procedures.

  • Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, with strong presentation skills.

  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to work with concepts such as probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

  • Excellent reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions from technical instructions.

  • This position may require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
