Salary Range: $22.71 To $23.46 Hourly

Work Schedule: Monday: 10am-6pm, Tues/Wed/Thurs: 11am-7pm, Fri: 8:30am-4:30pm

The Child Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist is responsible for providing education and training to individuals with serious mental illness and working with these clients to develop their problem-solving skills, enhance self-esteem, and build relationship skills to enhance the recovery of the individual.

What your day might look like:

  • Identifies healthy community opportunities for individuals to socialize and interact; promote these opportunities as directed by the care team

  • Assist and support psycho-educational activities and conduct groups to teach consumers about mental health, wellness, self-help in a recovery-based approach

  • Transports clients to and from appointments as needed; provides child minding services for consumers int the agency lobby only as needed so client can participate in treatment services

  • Understands Crisis Team policy and procedure manual, Agency and regulatory policies and procedures

  • Additional duties as assigned

Your skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED, preferred Associates degree in behavioral science or Bachelors degree in psychology or a related mental health field

  • Experience working with individuals with SUD disorders and/or Mental Health diagnoses

  • Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation required for local and regional travel
