Job Title : Wawa Public Relations Internship Program (Summer 2027)

Duration : Full Time, May 17, 2027 – August 05, 2027

Location : Media, PA (Onsite 4 days per week)

Wawa Internship Program Overview

The Wawa Internship Program offers students hands-on experience in a collaborative corporate environment, where they work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful business projects, and build skills that support their academic and professional growth. Throughout the summer, interns participate in professional development and networking opportunities with fellow interns and company leaders. The program culminates in a capstone presentation, where interns showcase key projects, accomplishments, and the impact of their contributions.

We are currently seeking two interns to join our Public Relations team for Summer 2027.

What You'll Do

As a Public Relations Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting Wawa's Events, Community Care, and Wawa Foundation teams. Depending on business needs and team assignments, you may have the opportunity to:

  • Support the planning and execution of community events, grand openings, recognition celebrations, and volunteer initiatives.

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to coordinate event logistics, communications, and project activities.

  • Assist with reporting, administrative tasks, and program support for community and charitable initiatives.

  • Help deliver programs and events that strengthen Wawa's impact in the communities we serve.

  • Contribute to project management activities while developing problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Essential Functions

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Communication, Public Relations or a related field.

  • Expected graduation date between Spring 2028 and Spring 2030.

  • Ability to work onsite at Wawa Corporate Headquarters in Media, PA, four days per week throughout the internship program.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Previous internship, project, or leadership experience in Public Relations is preferred.
