Job Duties

Start Date: 11/01/2026

End Date: 05/01/2027

Work hours: 50 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 10 hours/day, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Job Duties:

Seasonal field labor required for the specialization of installation, routine maintenance, and repair of poultry housing equipment to ensure the health and safety of the flock. Workers will perform tasks inside agricultural poultry buildings, including laying out and setting up poultry nesting networks, cage configurations, and automated watering and feeding lines. Crew will routinely test, inspect, and adjust poultry ventilation systems as well to maintain proper airflow and temperature controls necessary for animal health. Other duties may include minor repairs on existing poultry coop structures using hand tools to ensure housing remains secure and sanitary at all times. Able to lift heavy items up to 50lbs, general barn sanitation and cleanup areas as required.

Minimum Education Required

None. No High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience Required

No prior training is needed to perform these tasks, but candidates must be physically capable of meeting these environmental and physical conditions from day one.

On the job training will be provided.

Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Job will require exposure to extreme temperatures.

Extensive walking or sitting is required.

Frequent stooping or bending over is required.

Repetitive movements are required.

Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening will be conducted. Costs for both the criminal background check and the drug screening are conducted entirely at the expense of the employer. There will be absolutely no cost, fee, or deduction incurred by the workers for these pre-employment screenings.

Job Benefits

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 04/07/2026). Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
