Manager of Wound Healing Institute – Full Time

Northwest Florida Community Hospital | Chipley, FL

Northwest Florida Community Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Manager of the Wound Healing Institute to provide leadership and oversight for our wound care and hyperbaric services.

This position is responsible for the overall operations of the Wound Healing Institute, including staff leadership, quality patient care, regulatory compliance, program development, and continued growth of wound care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and day-to-day oversight of the Wound Healing Institute.

  • Supervise, support, and develop clinical and support staff.

  • Coordinate wound care and hyperbaric services to promote safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

  • Work closely with physicians, providers, hospital leadership, and other departments to ensure continuity of care.

  • Monitor patient outcomes, quality measures, productivity, and departmental performance.

  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and applicable regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards.

  • Maintain an understanding of wound care and hyperbaric billing, coding, documentation, and reimbursement requirements.

  • Work collaboratively with billing and revenue cycle staff to help ensure services are properly documented and billed.

  • Monitor documentation and processes to identify opportunities to improve reimbursement and reduce billing issues or denials.

  • Oversee scheduling, staffing, supplies, equipment, and other departmental operational needs.

  • Support staff education and ensure required competencies and training are maintained.

  • Assist with budgeting, expense management, and departmental goals.

  • Promote patient satisfaction and a positive patient experience.

  • Identify opportunities to expand services, increase referrals, and support continued program growth.

  • Participate in community outreach and education related to wound care services.

  • Maintain a strong culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and compassionate care.

Qualifications:

  • Current Florida RN or LPN license required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field preferred.

  • Previous wound care experience strongly preferred.

  • Previous healthcare leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of wound care practices, quality improvement, and healthcare regulatory requirements.

  • Hyperbaric medicine experience or certification is a plus.

  • Wound care certification such as CWCN, CWS, WCC, or equivalent is preferred.

  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to effectively lead a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership.
