Join BAE Systems' Air & Space Force Solutions and be part of a diverse and enthusiastic team that solves some of the world's most complex technical challenges. For the nineth consecutive year, BAE Systems was named among the Salt Lake Tribune's "Top Workplaces" by our employees, earning special distinction for providing a healthy work-life balance for our valued employees. We work very hard to ensure this is a great place to work!

BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional Systems Engineer to support the Air Force's acquisition of the next Reentry Vehicle critical to the ICBM weapon systems. This role is vital to the success of the Critical Design Review (CDR) phase, specifically providing specialized support for systems engineering Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) review.

The successful candidate will act as the primary bridge between technical execution and data management. While Integrated Project Team (IPT) SMEs conduct "vertical slice" reviews of CDRLs, this position will lead the horizontal CDRL reviews, ensuring consistency, integration, and traceability across the program. You will work with data management and ensure all deliverables meet the rigorous digital engineering standards of the ACAT program.

What are some of the day-to-day activities?

  • CDR Support: Leading horizontal CDRL reviews to ensure cross-functional alignment during the Critical Design Review phase.

  • Requirements Traceability: Utilizing DOORS, Cameo, and CREO to maintain strict requirements traceability throughout the system lifecycle.

  • Data Management Integration: Providing technical direction to data management teams for the efficient handling of engineering deliverables.

  • Compliance & Validation: Managing validation, data rights verification, and ensuring adherence to program requirements.

  • Lifecycle Oversight: Assisting with CM/DM plan development, and supporting Program Management Reviews (PMRs), and technical reviews.
