Job Summary: As the Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards and Contract Documents. You will report to the Senior Project Manager.

Primary Tasks:

  1. Chart out the project goals and plans, setting performance requirements, identification of resources needed, and assisting the Senior Project Manager in establishing individual responsibilities for the Project Team Members.

  2. Implement various construction operations through proper coordination. Coordinate and manage the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the Architects, Consultants, Contractors, Subcontractors, and others as identified.

  3. Develop effective communications and mechanisms for resolving conflicts among the various participants on a construction project. Work with the contractor(s) responsible for completing the project.

  4. Oversee the construction of projects from commencement through project close-out. Review and create the project plans and specifications and request revisions as (and when) needs arise. Ensure project record documents are completed accurately and properly archived for records.

  5. Project accounting responsibilities include managing the budget with strict adherence, tracking of team expenses, and minimizing exposure and risk on the project(s) assigned to the Project Manager.

  6. Monitor the progress of the construction activities for each assigned project on a regular basis by performing periodic inspections of the projects and hold regular status meetings with the project specific teams. Ensuring construction activities progress according to the master construction schedule, and in accordance with the established quality and safety standards.

  7. Identify the elements of project design and construction that are probable to enact disputes and/or claims.

  8. Manage the project team to ensure proper closeout of the projects. This includes the submission, review, approval and proper archiving of O&M Manuals and Record Drawings. Also includes closing out the pay apps, change orders, punch list completion, substantial completion letter(s), and certificate(s) of occupancy.

  9. Serve as an important link with the clients and review the deliverable prepared by the team before passing onto client.

  10. You will perform other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, business or 4 years of directly related experience in lieu of education

  • Knowledge of Bluebeam Construction software

  • Strong understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems in various construction environments.

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

  • 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role

  • Extensive knowledge of contractual, legal, and OSHA safety standards.

  • Willingness to travel extensively to various construction sites.

  • 5 years’ construction projects experience.
