Serviceman II

Job Summary:**

The Serviceman II at Heidelberg Materials US Cement LLC is responsible for performing a variety of skilled maintenance and repair tasks on equipment and machinery within the cement plant, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Job Responsibilities:**

• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on a diverse range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment, including conveyors, crushers, kilns, mills, and mobile equipment.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools.

• Perform repairs, replacements, and overhauls of components such as bearings, gearboxes, motors, pumps, and instrumentation.

• Conduct welding, fabrication, and cutting operations as needed for repairs and modifications.

• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and environmental regulations, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.

• Operate various heavy equipment and tools safely and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other departments regarding equipment status and repair progress.

• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency breakdowns as required.

• Assist in training less experienced personnel and sharing technical knowledge.

Job Qualifications:**

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment (cement, mining, or similar).

• Proficient in mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), and hydraulic systems troubleshooting and repair.

• Strong understanding of PLC logic and instrumentation is a plus.

• Competency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) and fabrication skills.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

• Possession of a valid driver's license.

• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
