Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Senior Manager of Contracts Administration to join one of the most consequential programs in U.S. aviation history — the Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) contract. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-visibility leadership role at the intersection of national infrastructure modernization and government contracting excellence.
Based onsite in Herndon, VA, you will lead a dynamic contracts workstream team, managing a complex portfolio of task orders in direct partnership with the FAA. Your work will directly support the transformation of America's air traffic control infrastructure — a mission that demands precision, strategic thinking, and bold leadership.
If you are a seasoned contracts professional ready to own a critical workstream, lead a high-performing team, and leave a lasting impact on a program of national significance, this role was built for you.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Manager of Contracts Administration, you will serve as the contracts authority and team leader for your assigned workstream, driving full lifecycle contract management from award through closeout. Your core responsibilities will include:
-
Lead and develop a multi-level team of contract administrators (Junior through Senior), fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and mission focus
-
Manage a diverse portfolio of task orders spanning various contract types, complexities, and dollar values — all in support of the BNATCS program sector
-
Partner with the FAA and internal program leadership to deliver strategic planning, proposal development, negotiations, modifications, and contract closeout activities
-
Drive proposal excellence — supporting color team reviews, compliance checks, representations and certifications, OCI Mitigation Plans, and pricing strategy development
-
Serve as the lead negotiator on resultant contract actions, advising program teams on contractual rights, obligations, risks, and opportunities
-
Ensure full lifecycle compliance — monitoring program performance against contract terms, government regulations, and customer specifications
-
Own communications and reporting — preparing and disseminating contract status updates, modifications, deviations, and closeout actions across the organization
-
Maintain airtight records — ensuring contracts systems, correspondence logs, and filing are current and audit-ready
-
Build trusted partnerships with internal stakeholders, FAA counterparts, and Prime contractor customers
Qualifications
-
Minimum of 12 years of related contracts experience
-
Extensive knowledge of U.S. Government contracting regulations (FAR/DFARS) and agency-specific supplements
-
Demonstrated experience across all phases of the contract lifecycle: RFP response, negotiation, contract execution, day-to-day administration, and closeout
-
Proven ability to interface with and represent contracts interests at all levels of internal and external management
-
Experience building and leading teams of contract administrators and developing efficient workstream processes
-
Must be a US Citizen
-
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Desired Qualifications:
-
Self-starter mentality with strong independent judgment and a proactive approach to problem-solving
-
Deep understanding of contract types, terms, and conditions across a range of vehicles
-
Track record of implementing and enforcing policies and procedures at a program or organizational level
-
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex contractual matters into clear guidance for program teams
-
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and technical skills including proficiency with contracts management systems
