Endocrinologist Opportunity

Saint Joseph Medical Center (Prime Healthcare)

Joliet, IL (Southwest Chicago Suburbs)

Saint Joseph Medical Center is seeking a board-certified/eligible Endocrinologist to expand diabetes and endocrinology services in the Joliet Community. This is an excellent opportunity to build a thriving practice with strong hospital support in a high-demand areaa west of Chicago.

Responsibilities

Position Highlights:

  • Comprehensive practice: Primarily outpatient with inpatient consults. Full-spectrum endocrine care (diabetes, thyroid, metabolic disorders, osteoporosis, adrenal/pituitary, and more).

  • Strong Support: Collaborative team with diabetes educators, APPs, and integrated services in cardiology, bariatrics, oncology, and women's health. On-site diagnostics and lab.

  • Growth Opportunity: Prime Healthcare investment in a 489-bed Level II Trauma Center with robust primary care referrals and immediate practice-building potential.

  • Leadership & Teaching: Program development, quality initiatives, and teaching opportunities in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism (ABIM or AOBIM)

  • Eligible for Illinois medical licensure and valid DEA

  • Strong clinical skills and commitment to patient-centered care

Pay Transparency

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $250,000-$260,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
