Full job description

Overview

Join the AI Native QuickBooks team reimagining how small businesses get started and grow. As Principal Product Manager, New Customer Activation, you’ll own strategy and outcomes for the core QuickBooks offering, with new customer top-of-funnel acquisition expected to exceed 1M customers.

Your focus is a seamless onboarding and activation experience that helps small businesses experience the product’s value. You’ll deliver a streamlined, personalized journey that guides customers to the key retention jobs that matter, powered by Intuit Intelligence and expert help.

You’ll set direction, rally engineering, design, data science, and marketing behind a clear, data-backed point of view, and personalize every step of the AI-native customer experience. This role is for someone who thinks in experiments, funnels, and journeys, not one-off features.

Responsibilities

  • Own the activation strategy and roadmap for new QuickBooks customers, connecting near-term experimentation to durable business outcomes across onboarding, activation, and early retention.

  • Drive an AI-first onboarding strategy, reimagining the end-to-end new customer journey around Intuit Intelligence and expert help to deliver a personalized path to the key retention jobs that matter.

  • Set the bar for a high-velocity experimentation culture, from discovery and hypothesis generation through A/B testing on the highest-leverage onboarding, personalization, and activation surfaces.

  • Influence senior leadership and partner with engineering, design, data science, and marketing, aligning teams around data-backed narratives and a clear strategy for helping small businesses experience the product’s value, while coaching PMs and partners to a higher bar.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with a strong focus on product-led growth, funnel optimization, or growth in a B2B or SaaS environment. You’ve owned offering- or segment-level strategy and delivered measurable outcomes across acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention.

  • Deep expertise in experimentation and A/B testing, with fluency in behavioral data and funnel analytics. You think in experiments and feedback loops, not just feature launches, and you can turn vague market signals into concrete product requirements.

  • Commercial and P&L acumen: you move business metrics and can defend investment choices based on LTV, CAC, and revenue impact. Experience in fintech, payments, commerce, or accounting, building in multi-product ecosystems or moving a product up-market, is a plus.

  • Experience applying AI/ML (personalization, predictive engagement, AI-accelerated discovery and delivery) in a growth context, with a future-back view of how LLMs and agentic AI will redefine the Jobs to be Done for customers.

  • Excellent communication and influence skills, with a track record of leading Product, Development, and Design triads and rallying senior executives through a complex matrixed organization. Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage org building; you’ve helped stand up or scale a growth function and coach others to a higher bar. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
