The Role -
Amphenol Aerospace is seeking aProcess Technicianto work out its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.
TheProcess Technicianwill support all products produced in the machining departments. This includes setup, start-up, operation and troubleshooting of conventional and CNC machines and post-machining operations..
The key responsibilities of theProcess Technicianinclude, but are not limited to:

Daily Manufacturing floor support
-
Creation of programs for new products
-
Maintain DNC with proven, best practice programs.

Provide training for Operators to run good quality parts.
-
Support initiatives and training for corrective actions
-
Quality and technical support to internal and external customers
-
Continuous improvement and cost reduction activities
-
Process troubleshooting to ensure quality product is machined.

Complete initial set up of jobs on varying machines.

The Person -
The key skills and qualities of aProcess Technicianat Amphenol Aerospace:
-
Technical or associate degree is a plus
-
6+ years of experience in machining.
-
Must have knowledge of Programming CNC machines and some Conventional experience.
-
Proficient with the setup and operation of conventional as well as CNC machines to produce aluminum and steel parts.
-
Familiar with technical drawings and precision measurement devices.
-
Knowledge of MS Office programs.
-
Must be able to multitask and work with minimal supervision and lead teams.
-
Participate in projects for all aspects of the connector business.
-
Confidentiality.
-
Excellent oral and written skills.
-
Must be able to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
-
Use of a computer from 1 to 8 hours a day.
-
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
-
Possible travel domestic or overseas.
