Summary
Personal Bankers build and strengthen client relationships by understanding financial needs and delivering tailored banking solutions that help clients achieve financial confidence. They provide exceptional service, accurately open accounts and process transactions, promote bank products and services, and collaborate with team members to achieve individual and branch goals while ensuring a positive client experience.
Responsibilities

Open and service consumer deposit accounts while identifying opportunities to recommend appropriate banking products and services. Enthusiastic, ethical promotion of bank products happens through frequent conversations with Walmart customers, daily outbound calls, interactions with existing clients during every transaction, and group presentations.

Educate clients on digital banking tools and self-service channels to improve convenience and enhance the banking experience.

Deliver an exceptional client experience by providing fast, easy, and personalized service while building strong client relationships. Resolve client inquiries with professionalism, ownership and follow-through.

Process a variety of banking transactions, account maintenance requests, and operational tasks accurately and efficiently.

Protect client and bank information by following all privacy, security, and confidentiality requirements.

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, bank policies, and procedures, including BSA, OFAC, audit, and security requirements.

Complete required training in a timely manner and maintain current knowledge of bank products, services, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Other specified duties as assigned.
Compensation & Benefits
The Personal Banker position pay rate is $22.00 to $26.50 per hour depending on experience. This position is eligible for additional incentive compensation monthly, based on achievement of established incentive goals.

Basic math and cash-handling abilities.

Proficiency with banking systems, digital banking platforms, Microsoft Office 365 including Copilot and Excel preferred.

Working knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Ability to work collaboratively and achieve individual performance goals with strong self-driven work ethic.

Ability to be NMLS licensed and registered required.
Education & Experience
-
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.

Previous banking experience preferred.

Minimum 6 months’ cash handling experience required.

Minimum 6 months’ sales experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
The work environment is typical of a standard office or retail banking setting. The position involves standing most of the workday. The position will involve moving about the workspace to reach entrances/exits, restrooms, conference rooms, or other areas within the work environment. Reaching may be required involving the ability to move arms in any direction. Office equipment, such as a computer and telephone, will be used requiring the ability to manipulate a keyboard, mouse, and/or keypad. The ability to decipher a computer screen or written documents is necessary. The ability to express or exchange ideas; impart information to clients, coworkers, or the public; or to convey detailed or important instructions; is required. The ability to receive and understand detailed information shared through oral or written communication is required. Position requires lifting and/or the exerting of up to 10 pounds of force.
