← All roles Engineering Senior Software Engineer Covington, KYHybridFull Time

Flamel is the paid media hub for multi-location brands. We drive meaningful engagement and conversion with local, personalized content while preserving brand integrity across thousands of locations. Flamel turns one brand playbook into localized, cross-channel campaigns at every location, launched in one click and on brand by default. We serve many of the biggest brands and franchises on the planet and deliver data-backed advertising results to their locations around the world. At Flamel, Engineering builds the platform behind every campaign: the ads infrastructure, the integrations with Meta, Google, TikTok, Yelp, and Apple Maps, and the AI agents that connect a marketing team's tools. We value building beautiful, easy-to-use products within a culture focused on speed, sustainability, and engineering without ego. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join as an early member of our paid media engineering team. You'll help set the foundations of the engineering organization, including core architecture, processes, and cultural values, and you'll set the bar for execution pace and quality. The role is highly multidisciplinary: you'll work across front end, back end, and infrastructure, and talk directly with customers. This role is based in our Covington, KY office, just across the river from Cincinnati, where in-person collaboration is an important part of how we work. We're looking for people comfortable working from the office at least three days per week. What you'll do

  • Build the ads infrastructure that powers millions of dollars in ad spend across thousands of locations
  • Ship new platform integrations quickly, usually in days or weeks rather than months
  • Build enterprise-ready AI agents and MCP servers that connect a marketing team's key tools in one shared workspace
  • Expand the platforms we support, including TikTok, Yelp, and Apple Ads
  • Craft short-form video tools that help customers create and repurpose content
  • Build a predictive content engine that learns from customers' past social and ad performance to recommend and automate creative
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain core infrastructure on AWS and Google Cloud with Docker, GitHub, and CI/CD

What you have

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally at a tech startup
  • Fluency with TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Python; experience with MongoDB, Express.js, and Tailwind CSS is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI models and tools (frontier models, AI agents, Codex, Claude, LangChain) and the judgment to validate what they produce
  • A keen eye for quality and a drive to build software people use and love
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and wearing multiple hats: front end, back end, DevOps, and talking to customers
  • A growth mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies
  • Enjoyment of working closely with an interdisciplinary team
