Salary Range: $23.00 To $25.00 Hourly

Accounting & Title Support Specialist

Mohawk Chevrolet is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Accounting & Title Support Specialist to join our dealership team. This cross-departmental position supports both the accounting office and title/registration operations, helping ensure vehicle deals are processed accurately, paperwork is complete, and customer and dealership records remain up to date.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with numbers and paperwork, has strong attention to detail, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Accounting Support

  • Process all contracts, separate signatures, DMV, title, and trade paperwork.

  • Break deals and ensure all required documentation is accurate and complete.

  • Review and send deal paperwork to banks and lenders with all required documentation.

  • Follow-up with Finance on funding delays and outstanding deal requirements.

  • Accurately post deals and calculate gross profit and sales commissions.

  • Process and track finance reserves.

  • Apply for incentives on new vehicles and follow up to ensure payment is received.

  • Report new vehicles and CPOs to the manufacturer.

  • Process warranty cancellations and maintain accurate cancellation records.

  • Review deal paperwork for accuracy and completeness.

  • Work with Sales, Finance, and Accounting to resolve deal discrepancies and outstanding documentation.

  • Maintain accurate deal and transaction records.

Title & Registration

  • Process vehicle title and registration paperwork accurately and efficiently.

  • Prepare and submit title and registration documentation to the appropriate state agencies.

  • Verify that all required documents, signatures, fees, and supporting paperwork are complete.

  • Track titles, registrations, temporary tags, and outstanding documentation.

  • Follow up on missing or incomplete paperwork.

  • Maintain accurate title and registration records.

  • Assist with payoff documentation and lien information when applicable.

  • Communicate with customers, lenders, DMV/state agencies, and other parties regarding title and registration matters.

  • Stay current on dealership and state requirements related to title and registration processing.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Can keep track of multiple deals, titles, deadlines, and accounting documents.

  • Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and financial paperwork.

  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn dealership/accounting software.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling customer and financial information.

  • Professional communication skills and a customer-service mindset.

  • Ability to work independently while also supporting a team.

  • Previous dealership, accounting, title/registration, DMV, or administrative experience is a plus.
