WHAT WE’RE DOING

At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems Business Area, our portfolio features more than 1,000 programs, including helicopters, integrated air and missile defense, littoral warfare, undersea warfare, radar, electronic warfare, cyber solutions, C4ISR, and training and logistics systems. The business area supports the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy and Missile Defense Agency, as well as intelligence, civil, commercial and international military customers.

THE WORK

RMS – Owego is seeking a highly motivated test technician to perform top level and subassembly test activities in support of our Electronic Support Measures (ESM) product line. This position will primarily support product test activities including but not limited to the following: tester certification/calibration, troubleshooting test failures for both production and field return assets, perform acceptance testing following documented test procedures, populating test logs/data sheets, compiling As-Built List (ABL), generating Quality Notifications for hardware deficiencies and documenting Special Test Equipment (STE) issues.

NOTE:

  • This is a 2nd Shift Position

  • This position requires a DoD Secret Security Clearance. US Citizenship is a requirement for consideration

Standard Lockheed Martin Job Description:

Sets up test apparatus and conducts tests of electronic assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences; lays out and assembles units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications. Adjusts and calibrates systems as required; modifies electronic equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and sketches. Corrects malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed. Uses hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties. Determines types of tests to be performed, approves and suggests modifications to testing equipment, and analyzes test results to evaluate performance of products and equipment. Assists engineers in design and development of test procedures for new products and recommends product improvements or manufacturing modifications. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experienced in MS Office Suite

  • Experience reading and understanding drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical publications

  • Be familiar with basic troubleshooting protocols

  • Knowledge of Quality procedures and adhering to standards

  • US Citizenship due to the Security clearance requirement

Desired Skills

  • The ability to troubleshoot top level units, circuit card assemblies down to the component level using special test equipment, digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other evaluation tools/methodologies

  • Knowledge of and the ability to implement 6S and flow principles.

  • Must have written test reports in detail

  • Possess strong communication and organizational skills

  • Be a self-starter and work in a team environment

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $50300.00 - $93300.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
