Overview

Evening Shift: 4pm - 12am

A member of Catholic Health, St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center is New York State's only specialty designated cardiac center. A member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, St. Francis is consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a national leader for Cardiology & Heart Surgery, as well as for Gastroenterology & GI Surgery.

Job Details

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.

  • Certification: ARRT (R) certification required; MRI certification (ARRT MR) preferred or obtained within one year of hire.

  • Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License.

  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year MRI experience preferred, with strong proficiency in body, neuro, and stroke imaging protocols.

  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge of MRI systems (Siemens preferred). Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of CAT scan and MRI procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative.

  • The technologist will produce and evaluate CT/MRI images for technical quality, properly identifies images and patient and effectively uses judgment for protocols and procedures.

  • Adheres to St. Francis Hospital and departmental policies and procedures and JCAHO/ regulatory agency requirements. Demonstrates and promotes service excellence at all times.

  • NYS radiographer's license, registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technology, knowledge and working experience in computerized axid tomography required.

Salary Range

USD $54.51 - USD $67.48 /Hr.

The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
