Full job description

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA

About RiverPool

RiverPool is an AI-native startup founded by the team behind Redis and backed by leading investors.ֿ

We're building an autonomous data and analytics platform that transforms how companies work with their data, making it easier and faster to turn raw data into trusted business insights.

As we expand into the US market, we're looking for our first US-based team member to help shape our commercial presence from the ground up.

About The Role

We're looking for a Founding Account Executive to join us as our first hire in the US and help build RiverPool's sales engine from scratch.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, loves building rather than following playbooks, and wants to have a direct impact on a company's growth.

Reporting directly to our Global VP Business, based in Israel, you'll play a key role in establishing our US presence while working closely with our founders, Business, and R&D teams.

We're looking for someone who combines strong sales execution with an entrepreneurial mindset, technical curiosity, creativity, and the independence and will to build something new.

What You'll Do

  • Build our US sales motion from zero: Establish the pipeline, processes, and repeatable sales playbook for the US market.
  • Own the full sales cycle: From prospecting and discovery through product demonstrations, negotiations, and closing.
  • Generate your own opportunities: Build and manage a strong pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, and creative go-to-market initiatives.
  • Be our voice in the US market: Develop relationships with potential customers, identify market opportunities, and represent RiverPool locally.
  • Work closely with founders & R&D: Partner directly with our founders and technical team in Israel to understand the product, bring customer feedback, and help influence product direction.
  • Turn early wins into repeatable success: Experiment with sales approaches, identify what works, and help establish a scalable go-to-market strategy.
  • Work AI-first: Leverage AI tools and automation throughout your daily workflow to improve research, prospecting, outreach, and sales execution.

Requirements:

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, with a proven track record of generating pipeline and closing new business.
  • Startup experience is a must, preferably in early-stage companies where you've helped build a sales motion from the ground up.
  • A true builder mentality: You enjoy creating something from scratch, taking ownership, and operating without established structures or playbooks.
  • Proven ability to independently manage the full sales cycle, including self-sourced pipeline generation.
  • Experience selling technical SaaS products, with the ability to engage both business and technical stakeholders.
  • AI-native mindset: You actively use AI tools in your daily work and continuously explore new ways to improve productivity and results.
  • Highly independent and self-driven: Comfortable being the first person on the ground, working across time zones, and collaborating with a remote leadership and R&D team.
  • Entrepreneurial and impact-driven: You're motivated by ownership, change, and the opportunity to directly influence the company's success.

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling data infrastructure, analytics platforms, developer tools, or AI-powered products.
  • Previous experience as a Founding AE or one of the first sales hires in a startup.
  • Experience selling to SaaS and technology companies.
