Full job description

Description

Independence Health System is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join a well-established, collaborative, and multidisciplinary cardiovascular team at Westmoreland Hospital. This position offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities, with limited coverage at other system locations, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

Both new graduates and experienced Cardiologist are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostics, including echocardiography, stress testing, ambulatory cardiac monitoring, and nuclear cardiology. The physician will practice guideline-directed, evidence-based cardiovascular care consistent with ACC/AHA standards. Experience with coronary CT angiography and cardiac MRI interpretation is welcomed but not required.

This role includes active participation in multidisciplinary cardiovascular clinics, quality improvement initiatives, and shared call coverage. The cardiologist will work closely alongside interventional and structural cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiac and vascular surgeons, and a highly skilled team of advanced practice providers.

The selected physician will share weekday and weekend call responsibilities with partners and will be supported by a collegial environment that emphasizes clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and opportunities for professional growth and leadership within the cardiovascular service line.
