Summary
You will serve as the Operational Technology Integration Lead in the Fleet Readiness Centers' Infrastructure Optimization and Modernization Program (FIOP) of COMFLTREADCEN, responsible for planning, integration, qualification, cybersecurity compliance, and sustained lifecycle management of industrial operational technologies and equipment across all Fleet Readiness Centers (FRCs).
Duties
- You will serve as the COMFRC lead for ensuring all systems meet Navy cybersecurity policies.
- You will develop strategies for Operational Technology reliant capabilities.
- You will guide commands in preparing funding requests.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: Planning, prioritization, and execution of industrial equipment requirements, and establishing policies and technical guidance for planning, procurement, sustainment, cybersecurity compliance, and lifecycle management. Coordinating installation, commissioning, qualifications, and integration of operational technology systems, robotics, automated equipment, ICS/SCADA systems, sensors, and cyber-physical hardware. Assessing operational technology and equipment performance, obsolescence, and sustainment needs across an organization, and recommending modernization strategies and technology refresh plans. Serving as a primary subject matter expert, participating in working groups, tiger teams, audits, IG reviews, and enterprise modernization efforts related to operational technology systems and cyber-physical production capabilities while providing technical expertise for initiatives involving automation, industrial controls, digital manufacturing, and secure operational technology environments. Communicating clearly and effectively to articulate, present, and promote program status and issues before a wide range of audiences, both orally and written. Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess Successful completion of a professional engineering degree. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico. The courses must be fully acceptable toward meeting the requirements of an engineering program as described in paragraph A (above)ORSuccessful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field, e.g., engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree in engineering, provided the applicant has had at least one year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance. Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
