Description

McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for Radiology Tech for its Carroll office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include: performing diagnostic general radiology following prescribed safety standards in operating imaging equipment, consults physicians/radiologists as necessary, examines images for technical quality and diagnostic usefulness, and performs general radiologic procedures as required, i nstructs patients regarding procedures. Observes patient for vital signs during examination, f ollows prescribed safety standards in operating imaging equipment, u ses radiation protection according to department policy and procedures, s elects length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis, e xamines radiologic image for technical quality and diagnostic usefulness, d elivers diagnostic images to radiologists for reading/interpretation, d emonstrates competency in general radiology. This is an as needed position to cover for vacation, sick days, etc. There are no set hours.

Education

  • Completion of accredited course radiologic technology or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.

Certification/License

  • Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

  • Current Iowa State permit as General Diagnostic Radiographer.

  • Current BCLS certification.

Days: Monday - Friday. Saturday & Sunday

Hours: As needed M-F varying hours 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Saturday and/or Sunday 8 AM - 4 PM.

$2.50/per hour pay differential when working Saturday and/or Sunday. If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday ask for details.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in radiology imaging modalities and demonstrated proficiency in all areas of general x-rays.

Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks are a condition of hire.
