Tri-City Group is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support projects within our Technologies, Structured Cabling, and Mission Critical Divisions. This is entry-level, a first step in a defined career path in Data Center Project Management. This is a great opportunity for someone with field experience looking to transition into Project Management or those with a Construction Management college background.

Essential Duties:

  • Support the management of data center structured cabling projects from kickoff through closeout

  • Assist with material procurement and tracking for high-density fiber and copper packages, including long-lead items critical to hyperscale schedules

  • Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, and closeout documentation to data center owner standards

  • Coordinate schedules with field foremen, superintendents, subcontractors, general contractors, and owner's representatives on phased, fast-moving projects

  • Participate in project meetings and site walks alongside senior project managers

  • Assist with budget tracking and change order documentation on large-scale, multi-phase projects

  • Learn and apply site-specific access, security, and safety protocols required in hyperscale and enterprise data center environments

  • Support field leadership in enforcing job site safety standards

  • Maintain project files, punch lists, and closeout packages

  • Support field leadership with new-hire site orientation and onboarding

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-2 two years of field or technical experience in structured cabling or low voltage

  • Education: Bachelor's in Construction Management, low-voltage apprenticeship with hands-on experience or technical education/certification program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (4 Years)

  • Interest in mission-critical and data center projects

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work within structured documentation and change control processes

  • Clear, professional communication with vendors, project managers, and internal team members

  • Willingness to hold self and others accountable to job site safety standards

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel) and willingness to learn project management software

  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications (Not required):

  • Experience reading and navigating large, complex construction drawing sets and submittals

  • BICSI credentials, or interest in pursuing them

  • Prior use of Construction Project management software, including Procore

Candidates who meet most but not all of the required qualifications are encouraged to apply.

All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, background, and site-specific security screening required for data center access. Tri-City Group is an equal-opportunity employer.
