$160000 - $200000

A rapidly growing SaaS organization serving the financial services industry is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to join its expanding technology leadership team. This full-time position is based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with a hybrid schedule of three days per week onsite. The role will lead teams responsible for mission-critical platform services built on .NET, microservices, cloud infrastructure, APIs, event-driven systems, and integration technologies.

This opportunity is ideal for an engineering leader who enjoys balancing people management with technical leadership. The organization is investing heavily in platform modernization, AI-assisted software development, cloud-native architecture, and engineering scalability. The selected candidate will have significant influence over technical direction, delivery execution, platform evolution, and engineering culture while helping build and strengthen a growing Dallas-area presence.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of software engineering management experience

  • Experience leading distributed or offshore engineering teams

  • Strong .NET / C# background

  • Experience with microservices architectures

  • Experience building distributed systems

  • Event-driven architecture expertise

  • API design and integration experience

  • Cloud platform experience (AWS preferred)

  • Agile leadership experience

  • Sprint planning and capacity planning experience

  • Team coaching and mentorship experience

  • Technical design review and architectural leadership experience

  • Strong delivery and execution mindset

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Kafka event streaming experience

  • Identity and Access Management (IAM)

  • Authentication and Authorization platforms

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead two engineering teams consisting of approximately 10 engineers

  • Drive engineering execution, planning, and delivery

  • Participate in architecture and system design discussions

  • Coach engineers and technical leads

  • Improve software quality and development practices

  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership

  • Support modernization efforts and platform scalability initiatives

  • Build strong collaboration between U.S. and offshore teams

  • Establish metrics and accountability frameworks

  • Promote adoption of AI development tools and best practices

The Offer

  • Base Salary: $160,000 - $180,000
