Glendive Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Acute Care team. In our Critical Access Hospital, nurses have the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

About the Role

As an LPN at GMC, you will provide direct patient care and assist in coordinating treatment plans under the direction of Registered Nurses and healthcare providers. This position offers exposure to multiple areas of nursing, allowing you to broaden your experience while contributing to exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering quality nursing care consistent with physician orders and established standards

  • Monitoring patient status and reporting changes promptly

  • Administering medications and treatments

  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation

  • Assisting with development and implementation of patient care plans

  • Supporting patient and family education efforts

  • Participating in emergency and urgent care situations as needed

  • Promoting patient safety and infection prevention practices

  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

  • Assisting with delegation and oversight of support personnel activities

Work areas include ER, ICU, Med/Surg, OB, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health, and Transitional Care

Schedule Details

  • Full-time, three 12-hour shifts

  • Rotating day/night shifts every 6 weeks

  • Weekend and holiday rotation required

Required Qualifications

  • Current Montana LPN License or compact multistate LPN license

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team

  • Strong organizational and critical-thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous nursing experience in a clinical setting

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

  • Training or experience in behavioral health or crisis intervention
