Job Description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Supply Chain is building a monetization capability to recover value from excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory and end-of-life infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced leader to build and manage the team, commercial channels, and operating processes that turn surplus and retired hardware into measurable financial recovery.

In this role, you will lead program managers responsible for coordinating inventory disposition and brokers responsible for selling approved components into secondary markets. You will own program strategy, execution, and financial performance across direct sales and third-party disposition channels.

Your scope will include new and unused excess inventory, recoverable server components, and retired hardware approved for resale. Working across Supply Chain, data center operations, Security, Finance, Legal, and logistics, you will establish a scalable program that maximizes net recovery while maintaining disciplined asset controls and secure disposition practices.

Responsibilities

What you will do

  • Build and lead the team. Hire, develop, and manage program managers and hardware resale brokers. Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and development plans across program execution and sales.

  • Own the monetization strategy. Define how OCI prioritizes inventory, selects disposition channels, and balances recovery value, speed, cost, and risk. Translate business objectives into operating plans and measurable targets.

  • Deliver financial results. Own program goals for net recovery, sales proceeds, inventory aging reduction, and cost to execute. Partner with Finance to establish baselines, validate results, and distinguish gross sales from net economic benefit.

  • Lead end-to-end program execution. Direct program managers coordinating inventory identification, disposition approvals, testing and grading, sanitization clearance, sales readiness, logistics, and financial reconciliation. Establish accountable owners and resolve cross-functional dependencies.

  • Develop secondary-market sales capabilities. Guide brokers in building qualified buyer networks, developing demand, managing sales pipelines, negotiating transactions, and securing repeat business.

  • Optimize direct and partner channels. Determine when approved inventory should be sold directly, placed with brokers or remarketing partners, or routed through other authorized disposition channels. Evaluate alternatives using market demand, expected net proceeds, operational capacity, and execution requirements.

  • Manage strategic partners. Own business relationships and performance reviews with IT asset disposition providers, remarketing partners, and other service providers. Partner with Procurement and Legal on commercial agreements, service expectations, reporting, and accountability.

  • Establish pricing and commercial discipline. Implement market benchmarking, competitive bidding, pricing approval thresholds, and transaction review practices. Ensure sales decisions account for condition, processing costs, fees, shipping, payment terms, and potential claims.

  • Maintain secure and controlled disposition. Partner with Security, Legal, and operations to establish release requirements, chain-of-custody records, buyer qualification, and auditable transaction documentation. Ensure data-bearing assets are released only after required sanitization verification and approval.

  • Build scalable processes and reporting. Establish workflows and systems that connect inventory availability, program milestones, sales opportunities, asset release, and financial outcomes. Provide leadership with reliable forecasts, performance reporting, risks, and decisions needed.

  • Drive continuous improvement and expansion. Identify bottlenecks, reduce disposition cycle times, and improve recovery economics. Develop regional expansion plans with the appropriate operational coverage and internal approvals.

Required qualifications

  • Significant experience in supply chain, hardware lifecycle management, reverse logistics, IT asset disposition, secondary-market hardware sales, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated people management experience, including hiring, coaching, and managing teams accountable for measurable business results.

  • Experience leading cross-functional programs involving physical inventory, external partners, and commercial transactions.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise hardware or electronic component markets and the factors that influence resale demand, pricing, and asset depreciation.

  • Demonstrated ownership of financial targets, operating budgets, or recovery performance, with the ability to evaluate unit economics and commercial tradeoffs.

  • Experience developing and managing external business relationships, negotiating commercial terms, and holding partners accountable for performance.

  • Ability to establish processes, controls, and reporting for a new or evolving business capability.

  • Strong executive communication skills and the ability to resolve competing priorities across technical, operational, and commercial stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience managing both program management and sales or brokerage teams.

  • Experience building an E&O recovery, hardware remarketing, or end-of-life monetization program.

  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, data center decommissioning, and resale markets for memory, CPUs, SSDs, networking components, and other server hardware.

  • Experience operating a hybrid model that combines internal capabilities with third-party disposition and logistics services.

  • Familiarity with data sanitization, asset traceability, counterfeit prevention, channel restrictions, and international disposition requirements.

  • Experience implementing inventory, CRM, ERP, or reporting capabilities that support asset disposition and sales execution.

What success looks like

You will establish a capable team, a repeatable operating model, and clear visibility into inventory, sales opportunities, and financial recovery. The program will deliver measurable improvements in net recovery and disposition speed, supported by diversified buyer relationships, accountable partners, reliable forecasts, and consistent adherence to asset-release and security requirements.
