Job Summary:
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
Under general direction, this position analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new or modified business processing systems. The position represents the business unit in defining requirements and business cases for technology developments and determines system requirements, including program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, system techniques, and controls.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

Subject Matter Expert in BOM (Bill of Materials) management preferred. Creates, updates, and structures multi-level Bills of Materials for parts, subassemblies, and final products based on engineering specifications.

Coordinates and implements Engineering Changes (ECs) and Manufacturing Changes (MCs), ensuring BOM version control.

Performs regular audits to verify that part numbers, revisions, descriptions, and quantities match between engineering drawings and production systems.

May participate in internal and external audits.

Serves as the central point of contact for Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams in resolving material discrepancies; when delegated, acts on behalf of management and represents the MDG department.

Analyzes, validates, and develops business and technical process requirements.

Develops system requirements, techniques, and controls and leads implementation efforts.

Represents business units with project management, customers, and end users.

Develops and manages business and user requirement specifications, ensuring consistency, traceability, feasibility, and completeness.

Leads analysis and verification activities and recommends and implements process improvements.

Develops hard-copy and electronic reports as required and utilizes analysis models, prototypes, and scenarios.

Develops and implements requirements practices and processes.

Partnering with management, may participate in the development of Engineering, Manufacturing, or Production Control policies, procedures, and tools.

Develops and analyzes product planning and proposes new product features and updates.

Partnering with management, provides leadership, mentorship, and training to less experienced staff, guiding their development and work in alignment with organizational goals.

Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

Works safely in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and six or more years of experience as a business process analyst working with computerized management systems, including product lifecycle systems. Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

Comprehensive understanding of business process and lifecycle management principles, theories, and concepts, as well as a general understanding of industry practices, techniques, and standards.

Customer-focused, with the ability to serve both internal and external customers and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.
-
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to accurately document and report findings to a variety of audiences.
-
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and guide employees, managers, customers, and other external parties.
-
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and demonstrate strong computer skills.
-
Strong command of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and PLM/PDM systems, such as SAP and Teamcenter.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 2D/3D CAD specifications.
-
Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and data-validation capabilities.
-
Clear verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with multiple departments and external vendors.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required.

Ability to work independently and lead in a team environment.

Ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
