Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Pulmonology Practice

Make a Difference in Pulmonary Care

Finger Lakes Health is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pulmonology Practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an LPN who enjoys building relationships with patients and working as part of a collaborative medical practice team.

Our Pulmonology team provides care to patients with a variety of respiratory and pulmonary conditions. The LPN will play an important role in supporting providers, coordinating patient care, and helping ensure an excellent experience for every patient.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in an outpatient pulmonology setting

  • Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures

  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and clinical information

  • Perform nursing assessments within the scope of practice

  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered

  • Assist with pulmonary-related testing and procedures as appropriate

  • Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and care plans

  • Communicate with patients regarding appointments, follow-up care, and clinical concerns

  • Coordinate care with providers, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record

  • Support a welcoming, professional, and patient-centered practice environment

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the practice

What We’re Looking For

  • Current New York State LPN license required

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program

  • Current BLS certification required

  • Previous outpatient, physician office, or specialty practice experience preferred

  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds

  • Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused approach

  • Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care
